Bugfix/multi channel root

Iain requested to merge bugfix/multi_channel_root into develop
  • Fixing bugs in the root multi-channel display, and change how to root fitting function are handled across multiple channels.
  • Added documentation for the root viewer, currently in the form or a readme in the macros dir.
  • Add documentation for the config files, and renamed some config vars.
  • Removed macros that are replaced by the TTree
